Sexual prowess and gorgeous looks are great but they’re just not nearly enough to lead to a successful life over the long run. The winner will be announced at the GayVN Awards Show, taking place Janu. To mark the awards show’s return, GayVN writer Brady Jansen takes a closer look at the 15 nominees for Best Newcomer. They are not BAD people but they are for the most part, unintelligent people and I long ago concluded it is an unavoidable aspect of their personality that led them into porn to begin with. This weekend will see the return of the GayVN Awards after a seven-year hiatus, and AVN Media Network is pretty darned excited. It is no accident that very few of them go on to either great financial success or a happy, normal family/romantic relationship (including lasting marriage.) The vast majority of porn performers are people who have no ability to plan ahead in terms of where they’ll be business wise and emotionally 20 or more years from now. There certainly are exceptions but not very many.
Having many decades ago been IN the porn business as a corporate owner, I can however attest that that the vast majority of porn performers are both uneducated and unwise. There are pros and cons to both escorting and not escorting. There is nothing inherently wrong with porn performers (they’re NOT all stars) who elects to escort.
